Pros And Cons

  • Easy to set up
  • Great price
  • Easy to change settings with Genie app
  • Adequate speeds for streaming
  • Includes ethernet cable
  • 90-day warranty

  • Firmware requires ISP to update it
  • 5G connections can sometimes be unstable

Netgear is easily one of the most popular and widely known manufacturers of all things involving internet connections, and that includes the internet providers who rent out their products to their customers. The AC1750 modem and C6300 router combo is a prime example as to why that is.

This combo joins together a very capable modem with an adequate router to deliver fast internet speeds with a fairly wide range of coverage in the home, with plenty of room to grow for those who may eventually get faster internet plans.

However, this particular product listing is a little different from the standard Ac1750/C6300 combo, in that it’s not only pre-owned (and thus cheaper,) but also includes a 5-foot ethernet patch cable for faster connections to your device of choice.

This results in a very affordable and well-rounded package that has everything you need to get your home’s internet and Wi-Fi up and running with adequate speeds, with the option to connect external storage, media players, or a computer to the device as well — and all for under $100.

The Netgear AC1750/C6300 combo is an ideal combination that offers solid data transfer speeds and a nice amount of range. In addition to the router and modem, it also comes with a 4GB wired switch.

The router modem is dual-band, and offers up to 680Mbps speeds, with up to 300Mbps with 16x4 channel bonding. This gives it the speeds needed to support HD videos without buffering, online gaming for resource-intensive platforms and titles, and of course fast download speeds for large files.

The dual-band properties allow you to select separate networks for your devices, splitting the data speed resources and matching certain devices to separate channels, depending on what they’re needed for.

This combo accommodates DOCSIS 3.0 technology, keeping it up to today’s modern speed standards. And just in case you’re worried, the device is compatible with all the major ISPs, such as Comcast, Cox, Spectrum, and Xfinity.

The AC1750/C6300 comes with some helpful added features worth mentioning as well. Like most Netgear products, it offers live parental controls for blocking certain types of content. You also get the Netgear Genie app that provides extensive controls and diagnostics so you can fine-tune its performance, while monitoring speeds and connection quality.

This router modem combo is already an excellent deal at its normal price, but it’s practically a steal at this discounted price, especially when considering that it’s been certified by Amazon Renew, includes a 90-day warranty, and comes with an ethernet cable.

What We Like

  • The price of this listing is hard to beat, but it’s not just about the cost. The AC1750/C6300 combo offers the speeds needed for today’s internet users, leverages a high-quality internal router for solid range and coverage, and includes Netgear’s app and controlling features.

What We Don’t Like

  • The firmware can only be updated by your ISP, so it may be a bit troublesome in the future when trying to keep the device’s performance current as ISP speeds increase. The Genie app can sometimes be a little slow as well.
  • Despite a few small inconveniences, this combo is perfect for the majority of average internet users who don’t live in a giant home. It can offer solid speeds for numerous devices at once, and is a breeze to set up.

  • Compatible with Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, CableONE & more
  • Three-in-one cable modem + AC1750 Wi-Fi router + 4 gigabit wired switch
  • Cat-6 Ethernet patch cable for wired home and office networks
  • 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and USB 2.0 port
  • Compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac
  • Up to 680Mbps download and speed
  • DOCSIS 3.0
  • Live parental controls
  • NETGEAR Genie app

Buying Advice

Purchasing a router/modem combo can sometimes be a little tricky, and it seems that the industry as a whole does a poor job educating the public on what features and aspects they need to be aware of and comprehend when shopping.

First and foremost, make sure the device is compatible with your ISP. Netgear is one of the larger providers of routers and modems, but it’s always recommended to double-check before buying. Most any major ISP will be compatible with this product.

The next thing to be mindful of are your desired speeds. If you are using your internet for basic things like watching streaming shows, internet browsing, and the occasional large file download, this router/modem will be sufficient.

The same is true with gaming, but those who regularly play games with high data and hardware requirements may want to go with something with a little more speed — if your current internet plan can match it.

This modem does include a router, and offers enough range to cover every room within the average-sized home. If you have a larger home, or longer range needs, you may want to look at more powerful router/modem combos, or consider buying an external router you can connect this device to.

While routers and modems aren’t typically prioritized by extra features, the parental controls and Genie app will come in handy for those looking to restrict content, or have better insights into how their device performs.

The Netgear AC1750 modem and C6300 router combo provides buyers with an exceptional value overall, especially this particular Amazon Renewed listing. It offers the speeds and coverage needed for the average user and home, and is also easy to use and setup. If you’re looking to upgrade, or quit renting hardware from your ISP, this should be among your top choices.
